Traders hate market uncertainty, and a move of power to a new person, new party and new philosophy has contributed to the stock market crash in 2008. Geithner’s recent work is well-known on Wall Street, as a leading figure of the Lehman collapse, and the AIG rescues and bailouts.
The stock market has endorsed geithner in the short term. But Geithner has a crumbling economy and a strange euro dollar and yen value relationship to fix as president elect Obama's treasury secretary.
